Digital X-Ray Imaging Solutions

At Westcoast Scanning Ltd., we combine cutting-edge x-ray constant potential and pulsed generators with 4K digital imaging to identify structural defects and embedments through construction and organic materials. Constant potential X-rays are produced on demand using a generator that supplies a steady, direct voltage to the X-ray tube versus pulsed X-ray sources, which emit X-rays in micro-bursts.

Safety

X-rays are created on demand. When the generator is not producing x-rays, there are no radiation and no exposure hazards. Constant potential and pulsed radiation penetrate deeper and emit exponentially lower radiation levels than potentially lethal radioactive isotopes such as Iridium, Cobalt, and Cesium. No more long exposure times and hazardous transportation issues. Our systems’ wireless connectivity adds another level of safety.

Advanced Digital Imaging

Westcoast’s 4K digital imaging tablets use the latest software algorithms and technical advancements in imaging, including real-time processing. The technology has evolved to allow penetrations of up to 14” through concrete, and 2.5” of steel all while delivering clear visualizations of the structure’s embedments, i.e., rebar, post-tension cables, conduits, voids, and other elements such as cracks and fissures. Corrosion assessments, pipe and valve inspections are also possible. We can stitch together multiple images to create large seamless areas of interest
